On a compact Glendowie site where there was little room to expand outward, the opportunity was to go up — adding a master bedroom wing above the existing footprint to create the space the owners had been missing.

The concept centres on a vaulted ceiling in the master bedroom, bringing height and a sense of space to what could otherwise be a tight upper floor. The addition integrates with the existing roofline while adding its own considered moment above.

A practical, targeted brief resolved with a design that makes the most of every metre of a limited site.
