A large Whangarei family wanted a home that could accommodate everyone — extended family, guests, and the day-to-day life of a big household — without sacrificing the stunning views the Parahaki hillside offers.

The design at concept stage responds to the steep site by stepping the house into the land rather than cutting against it. A pool sits at the natural break in the slope, with the living spaces arranged above to frame the panoramic outlook across Whangarei.

The project is at an early conceptual stage, with the full design still to be developed in consultation with the client.
